Kissamos is a large village lying 41km west of chania town. Today it counts on 3000 inhabitants most of whom are engaged in agriculture, trade & fishing. It is famous for the production of wine. The town offers a big variety of local shops, super markets, bank offices, medical Centre (300 meters), pharmacy ( 300 meters), bus transportation, taxis, gas stations, kiosks, restaurants, coffee shops, police station, harbor (access to Kithira & Peloponnese). Archeological museum of Kissamos (city center) “Psarolimano” a small graphical harbor with Greek traditional fish taverns!! Falassarna beach (10 km), Gramvousa & Balos lagoon (better access with boat) & Elafonissi (40 km) wonderful sandy beaches and their crystalline waters!! Sfinari beach (20km) Chrysoskalitissa monastery a few kilometers before arrive at elafonissi beach.
